DEATH OF E.B. SAMPLE

Mr. E.B. Sample of Chequest township died Wednesday last, the 5th inst., and was buried in Lebanon Saturday, the 8th. Rev. H.F. Gilbert conducting the funeral. Death was caused by heart disease after an illness of about a week, aged 81 years. Mr. Sample was an old settler and one of the prominent and highly respected citizens of the western part of the county. He was the father of Geo. W. Sample, former county treasurer. He was a large tax payer, owning about half a section of land, and a man of high ideals, and a highly respected citizen, under the old system representing his township on the board of supervisors.
