Lana Jannell Zerby, age 61, formerly of Stockport, passed away August 8, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

A funeral service was held August 15, 2016, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Chaplin officiating. Burial was at Forest
Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, IA.

Lana was born September 20, 1954, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, to the late Bernard Witful Owens and Wanda Alberta Woods Owens Wieneke. On August 28, 1996, after nearly 16 years of cohabitation, Larry Dean Zerby and Lana were united in marriage in Winchester, VA.

He passed away November 29, 2015.

Lana graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1973. She lived in Mt. Pleasant until 1980 at which time she moved to Pennsylvania and settled in New Columbia, PA, for several years. In 2002 she moved back to Iowa and settled in CenterVille, moved to Douds in 2005, moved to Stockport in 2006 and in June 2016 moved to Burlington, IA.

Lana worked at A&W Drive-In in Mt. Pleasant from 1970 - 1974, 1974 to 1980 she worked at Heatilator Fireplaces in Mt. Pleasant. From 1980-2002 she was employed by BBA Non-Wovens (formerly known as International Paper Company in Lewisburg, PA. In 2004 Lana graduated from Indian Hills Community College where she studied administrative assistant and accounting and was on the dean's list. She attended the Stockport Christian Church in Stockport, IA. Lana loved animals especially horses and dogs. She loved the outdoors, reading, playing cards, shooting pool, spending time on the computer, Christian activities, serving the Lord and spending time with the people she loved.

Lana is survived by three stepchildren, Michael (Bonnie) Zerby of Milton, PA; Michele Mowery of Williamsport, PA, and James Zerby of Bloomsburg, PA; seven beautiful grandchildren, Jesica, Andy, Cody, Brent, Julia, Kayla and Oksana, all of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Linda D Owens, and her two sons, Brian K. and Shawn M. Owens of Stockport, IA, niece, Lawanda J. Heimbach of Mifflinburg, PA, and her brother, Raymond W. Owens of Palm Springs, CA; one uncle, Larry Crill of Mt. Pleasant, IA, and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents; stepfather Earl (Jack) Wieneke; her husband; two brothers, Gary Witful Owens and Dennis Keith Owens; niece, Lisa Jean; and all her grandparents.
