Margaret Weiny Flood 1930-2016

Margaret Weiny Flood, 86, of Las Vegas, NV, died August 5 under hospice care at the home of her son. She was born February 10, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, to William Herbert and Florence Mallams Weiny. They soon moved to a farm near Milton where she spent her childhood. She attended school through the ninth grade at Troy and then moved to Mt. Pleasant to live with her Grandma Mallams and graduate from high school there. She then worked at Henry County Savings Bank. In 1951 she married Leonard Flood of Rockford, IL. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughter, Pamela (Jim) Winkleman of Houston, TX, and her son, Charles (Julie) Flood of Las Vegas, NV, seven grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Humphrey of Milton, and her brother, Harold Weiny of Missouri, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her cremains will be interred at Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton, IA, at a later date.
