THE MORTUARY RECORD

Miss Martha H. Ingram of Keosauqua died early Friday morning of consumption. The funeral services were held Sunday at 2 o'clock, the opening prayer being by Rev. H.A. Ingham, the sermon and closing prayer by Rev. C.E. Perkins, and the music by the choir of the Congregational church. The pall bearers were Messrs. H.E. Duckworth, Edgar Buckles, J.P. Starr, Hugh Sloan, H.L. McGrew and Chas. N.G. Robinson.

There were present from a distance Rev. J.W. Potter and wife of Bloomfield and Rev. Paul McBeth of Miller, S.D. The floral offerings were very handsome. It was, it seemed to us, one of the most beautiful, impressive and appropriate funeral services, both as to the prayer, the sermon and the music, to which we ever listened, being in harmony with the beautiful character of the deceased.

Martha H. Ingram, daughter of Robert and Hannah Ingram, was born in Muskingum county, Ohio, January 12, 1825, and died at the home of her brother-in-law, Captain William McBeth, in Keosauqua, Iowa, on Nov. 27, 1903, at the advanced age of seventy-eight years, ten months and fifteen days.

In early life Miss Ingram went to Philadelphia and resided with a brother, while pursing her school work in (remainder missing).....
