Perry Langford.

Perry Langford was born Nov. 18, 1830, in Harrison county, Indiana, and died at his home near Keosauqua, Iowa, May 29, 1904, being 73 years 6 months and 11 days old at the time of his death. He was the third son of Anderson and Nancy Langford. Deceased moved with his parents from Indiana to McDonough county, Illinois, living there two years. In the spring of 1838 they moved to Van Buren county, Iowa. Here he grew to manhood and ever since made this county his home. He was married to Hannah Hull Jan. 27, 1853. To this union were born eight children of whom five are living. Stephen died August 12, 1858, Flora March 6, 1861, and Aaron May 7, 1883. Deceased leaves a wife and five children, viz: Jonathan, Oliver, Tillman, Dora and Cora Riddle; also seven grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters to mourn his departure. He was a kind husband and devoted father loved and respected by all who knew him.

Deceased had been ill a month or more, his death resulting from disease of the lungs with other complications. The funeral was held Monday, Rev. Mr. Carson of this place conducting the services. The burial was at the Boston cemetery.
