HENRY J. KING

The death of Henry J. King occurred at his home at Keokuk, Iowa, on Feb. 2, following an illness of several months. He was the son of Henry J. and Isabelle King, born in Revere, Mo., on Oct. 15th, 1869. His age was 68 years, 4 months and 17 days, and he spent most of his life in Lee county, Iowa. He was employed at one time as a solicitor for the Daily Gate City and for several years ran a store both at Charleston and Primrose. He was widely known throughout the county, and had a host of staunch friends who learned of his death with great sorrow.

On Nov. 12, 1919, at Keokuk, he was united in marriage with Nettie Brennan, who survives him. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Olive McCabe of Seattle, Wash., a grandson, David, with two brothers, Sam King of Revere, Mo., and Millard King of Damascus, Pa., three sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Housholder of Rock Island, Illinois, Mrs. Ella Kalber of Quincy, Ill., and Mrs. Fannie Bullard of Kahoka, Mo., and a number of nieces and nephews to mourn his death.

Funeral services were held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the St. Peter Catholic church at Keokuk, and burial in Keokuk cemetery.

Among the relatives away from Keokuk who attended the funeral services were Mr. Chas. Cartnal of Farmington, Mr. and Mrs. L.D. King and Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Epperhart and daughter, Agnes of Rever, Mo.
