STRUCK BY AN AUTO DIES IN HOSPITAL.

Miss Ceceha Griffin of Keokuk aobut 50 years of age was run over by an auto Saturday about 2 o'clock and died from her injuries at 6, that same evening, without regaining conscious.

From the testimony taken it was thought that the lady became confused at the blowing of the horn and did not try to get out of the way of the machine. The police say the boy who was driving the machine was not driving over six miles an hour when the accident occurred.

Mr. Anderson and son Perry Anderson who were in the machine which Perry was running both say the woman became confused when she heard the horn and started back to the curb and stopped for the car to strike her.

Perry Anderson, the 15 year old boy, who was driving the car, was not an experienced driver, and had only been running the car a few days.

Perry the driver waived a preliminary examination and was bound over to await the action of the grand jury, under bond of $500.
