INJURIES FATAL TO FRED ELSE

Died Tuesday at Fairfield Hospital; Hurt While Operating Saw

Fred Else, of near Batavia, died about three oclock Tuesday morning at the Jefferson county hospital in Fairfield, as a result of injuries received nine days before while operating a wood saw.

He is survived by his wife, and three children; two brother, Sam, of Des Moines and Harold of Keosauqua; five sisters, Miss Bessie Else, Mrs. Mamie McWherry, and Mrs. Chloe Thomas, of Des Moines, Mrs. Ben Schreckengost of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Joe Workman of Milton; two half-brothers, Will Else, of McAlester, Montana, and John Else, of Chicago; five half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Proper, of San Diego, California, Mrs. Frank Brill, Mrs. Lucy Craig and Mrs. Lee Carruthers of Keosauqua, and Mrs. Susie Stout of Des Moines, and his mother, Mrs. Ada Else of Keosauqua.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock this afternoon (Thursday), at the Methodist Episcopla church in Pittsburg. Burial be in the Pittsburg cemetery.
