Mrs. Florence Eberhard

Florence Morris, daughter of L.D. and Hannah Morris was born in Keosauqua, November 27, 1848 and passed away May 20 at her home near Spokane, Washington aged 90 years, 5 months and 23 days. Her father was one of the publishers of the Keosauqua Republican and she resided with her family here until her marriage in 1868.

She was married in 1858 to Norval U. Eberhard and moved to Moonticello, Ind., where they lived until 1882, when the family returned to Keosauqua. The family made there home south of Keosauqua on Indian Creek. In 1912 she with her son and daughter moved west.

In early childhood she was united with the Congregational church in Keosauqua, and remained a consistent member during her life time.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1911, one son Arthur L. and a daughter Maude M. Surviving is one son, Morris E. Eberhard of Mica, Wash., and two brothers, D.T. Morris of Parsons, Kans., and Howard Morris who lives in Oregon; a niece Miss Anna Glover of Kahoka, Mo., and other more distant relatives.

Funeral services were held at the Burnett Funeral home in Keosauqua May 26, in charge of the Rev. A.L. Lippitt. Interment was in the family lot in Oak Lawn cemetery.
