ESTELLA CARRUTERS

Estella Floria Else, was born to John and Mary Else on March 17, 1875 in Norton County, Kan. She passed away Oct. 4, 1957 at the age of 82 years, eight months and 17 days at the Kameron Nursing home in Bloomfield.

In her early life, she moved to Van Buren County with her family. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.

On March 4, 1894, she was united in marriage to Lee Carruthers. To this union were born nine children. Surviving besides her husband are Mrs. Pearl Mort of Pulaski, Fred Carruthers of Keosauqua, Mrs. Eva Oswalt of Cedar Rapids, Bill Carruthers of Keosauqua, Paul Carruthers of Keokuk and Russell Carruthers of Mt. Pleasant. Three children preceded her in death.

Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 6,1957 at 2 p.m. at the Burnett-Catcott Funeral Home in Keosauqua. Rev. John Ballinsky was in charge. Interment was in the Pittsburg cemetery.
