MRS. JAMES WARD

Olwen Ward (nee Jones)of Chicago, Ill., passed away at 7:30 a.m., March 16, at the age of 44 years, 11 months and one day after a short illness of only 24 hours.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., March 18 at the Emerald Ave. church in Chicago with interment in Cedar Park cemetery.

She leaves to mourn her sudden departure her husband, James, who was born and raised near Bonaparte, and two daughters, Judy and Mrs. Betty Larson.

Born in Chicago, Olwen was the only child of Annie and Owen Jones, who passed on early in life.

In passing to her eternal rest, Olwen leaves thousands of friends who have enjoyed and been comforted by her beautiful singing voice which won her many honors.

Relatives in attendance from a distance were Mrs. Amy Ward, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Ward and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Willits of Bonaparte, and Mrs. Russel McIntosh and Mrs. Tina Ewing of Keosauqua, Ia.
