THE LIFE STORY OF
FRANK SMITH

Frank Smith, son of John and Catheryn Tully Smith was born on the farm northeast of Cantril December 17, 1875 where he lived his entire life. Miss Vina Pierce became his bride at Milton, on May 27, 1900. Four children came to brighten the home established on the old homestead - Dorothy, Lloyd, Craig and Garnet. The latter died in infancy.

Mr. Smith thoroughly enjoyed his occupation and lived a well-rounded, honest and useful life; being a kind and considerate husband, father and neighbor. His long and useful life came to an abrupt end Friday morning, August 8, 1952, when he suffered a fatal heart attack.

He leaves to mourn his passing, besides his wife and three children, three grandchildren - Billy, Larry and Allen Smith of Cantril, one sister - Mrs. Elizabeth Price of Milton; and two brothers - T.J. and George both of Cantril. Five brothers and four sisters have preceded him in death: Charles, William, Alexander, John, Irvin, Emma Warner, Margaret Tully, Annie Norris and Mary Fritz.

The community has lost a good and respected citizen.

Services were held at the home Sunday, August 10, 1952, at 1:30 p.m. and the Cantril Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. with a friend of the family. Reynolds C. Murdock, and the Pastor E. Edward Philgreen in charge.

The pall bearers were Selman Daughrity, George Norris, Frank Anderson, Bates Chaplin, Clark Robinson and Richard Hesler. Interment was in the Cantril Cemetery.
