Susie Arlene Glashine

Susie Arlene Glashine, age 50, passed away suddenly at her home, 404 S. Jefferson, Mt. Pleasant, Saturday night, Oct. 6. She was the daughter of Charles T. and Susie Gaston Dickson and was educated. She has been a resident of Mt. Pleasant for the past 25 years.

On April 4, 1925 she was united in marriage to Glenn Folker, who was killed in a airplane accident in 1942. To this union two daughters were born.

On Sept. 5, 1949 she was married to S.L. Glashine, who survives her. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Beth White, Fairfield and Mrs. Charlotte Gibbs, Morning Sun; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Miller Galesburg, Ill.; one brother, Leslie Dickson, Keosauqua, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at R.K. Crane funeral home, Mt. Pleasant in charge of Dr. James Marlin and Rev. E.A. Mathews, pastors of First Methodist church, Mt. Pleasant. Organist was Virginia Bonser; soloist, Keith Gaston. Bearers were LaVerne Harlan, Joe Stang, Robert Burns, Jack Folker, Oren White and Ralph White. Interment at Center Chapel cemetery.
