MYRTLE DAGGS

Mrs. Myrtle Rachel Daggs, 59, of Arbela died Tuesday at her home. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Prairie View church, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Huff of Polo. Burial was in Prairie View cemetery. Pallbearers were Clark Kerr, Gene Halpert, Paul Racey, Leland Davis, John Kerr and Clark Phillips.

Mr. Daggs was born on a farm near Mt. Sterling, Ia., Nov. 31, 1890, a daughter of Charles and Manie Madden. She was married to Joseph Earl McGowan Nov. 16, 1907. Following his death, she was married Aug. 10, 1939 to Ed Daggs, prominent Arbela farmer, by the Rev. Arthur Huff. She was a member of the Azen Christian church.

Surviving are the husband; her mother, Mrs. Mamie Madden of Mt. Sterling, Ia.; a daughter, Mrs. Eston Jones of Cedar Rapids, Ia.; a son, Don McGowan of Cantril, Ia.; three stepchildren, Mrs. Hubert Miller and Marion and Harold Daggs of Arbela; a brother, Stanley Madden of Milton, Ia. and eight grandchildren, Mrs. Peggy Jamison of Congerville, Ill., Max and Larry Lee McGowan of Cantril, Ia., and Jim, Larry and Kay Daggs and Don and Jane Miller of Arbela. A son Dwight McGowan, died in infancy. - Kahoka Gazette-Herald.
