Clyde J. Gaston

FARMINGTON - Clyde J. Gaston, 88, of Farmington died at 3:35 a.m. Sunday in Burlington Memorial hospital following an illness of one week.

He was born Nov. 11, 1881, in Van Buren county.

On Oct. 7, 1903, at Keokuk, he married Ida Pitney who preceded him in death Jan. 7, 1969.

He was a farmer and has also served as county judge in Clark county, Mo. He was a member of the First Baptist church at Farmington.

Surviving are one son, Thad Gaston, Farmington; a grandson, Roger Gaston, Farmington; a niece and a nephew.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

His parents were James and Rosa McIntire Gaston.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Farmington Baptist church with the Rev. Ronald Cochran officiating. Burial will be in Christy cemetery. The body is at the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington.
