Mrs. Ida Gaston

FARMINGTON - Mrs. Ida Gaston, 85, of rural Farmington, died at 7:10 a.m. today in Van Buren county Memorial hospital in Keosauqua after a long illness.

Born December 15, 1883 in Acasto, Mo. in Clark co she was the daughter of Aron and Josephine Spurrier Pitney.

She was married to Clyde Gaston on October 7, 1903 at Keokuk and he survives. She was a life long resident of the Acasto community a member of the Baptist church and the last of her family.

Also surviving are one son, Thad of rural Farmington and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Farmington Baptist church with burial in the Christy cemetery.
