Died. - in this city last Tuesday

.....ing at half past six, Miss Helen, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.S. Huber after a several months illness with a complication of diseases. Death came as a sweet relief and Helen feel asleep in Jesus, after having bid her loved ones a sweet farwell and telling them not to cry for her as she would be better off as she was going home to Jezus(sp) who was beckoning her to come home and be at rest.

The parting was hard, as she had a very affectionate disposition and those who knew her at once loved her for her ladylike and interesting ways. On the 20th, of this month Helen would have reached her 12th birthday, having reached the age when she would think more of home and loved ones than later on when she would commence to be and act like young people do who are commencing to feel that they are almost at the age when they can take care and look after themselves. Helen was conscious till the very last and during the last night of her life she was continually speaking word of comfort to her parents, sister, and other loved ones, telling them that she was all right and requesting them to sing some of her favorite songs for her instead of weeping. She also urged all to prepare themselves to meet her in the beautiful home above.

To know Helen was to love her. She bore her afflictions of several months duration without a murmur and was always patient and cheerful. As a Sunday-school scholar she was devoted, studious and attentive. The parents and school teachers in looking upon her mute face said: At home or in the school room we never saw her do a wrong act. She was a great favorite among her schoolmates and will long be missed by them.

The funeral services were held in the M.E. church last Thursday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. S.F. Bishop assisted by Dr. J.D. Burr and Dr. J. Stuart. All the school mates of the departed being present in a body to pay there last respect to her who would be with them no more. The attendance of relatives and sympathyizing friends at the funeral was large. The floral offerings were beautiful and as the body was lowered into its last resting place the white casket was literally covered with the blossoms Helen had loved so well during life. The parting was hard, as the fond parents have already been called to bury three children and have but one left, but they mourn not as those who have no hope for they have the full assurance that they have gone to the Mansions prepared for those who put their trust in their God and Father, who died on the cross that we, believing, might live forever.

TO MY FRIENDS: -
This will be but a feeble expression of my sincere thanks to all my friends and neighbors, for the very very kind manner in which you came to my house, and relived me of all the necessary duties devolving upon me, during the last sickness, death and burial of my dear little niece Helen Huber, when I loved as my own. May God bless you all for your goodness and I will never forget you.
