Herbert Lee Gaston

Funeral services for Herbert Lee Gaston will be at 11 s.m.(err) Thursday at the King-Lynk Funeral Home with the Rev. L. Duane Chruchman officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.

Mr. Gaston, 72, of 215 Avenue G, died Monday, Jan. 14, at his home.

He was born May 13, 1912, in Fort Madison. He had been manager of the former Iowa theater and was a retired Lee County highway inspector. An Army Air Corps veteran of World War Ii, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Fort Madison Senior Citizens and the American Association of Retired Persons.

On Oct. 26, 1939, at Fort Madison, he married Mary Turner, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by two brothers, Robert of St. Louis, Mo. and John of Fort Madison, and nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by a brother. His parents were Beryl and Nellie Quaid Gaston.

Friends may call as they desire at the King-Lynk Funeral Home where the family will meet friends from 7 to 8 this evening. The casket will remain closed.

A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association. Contributions may be made at the King-Lynk Funeral Home.
