Mrs. Gaston of Ft. Madison dies Monday

FORT MADISON - Mrs. Nellie Gaston, 80, of James Block, Fort Madison, died at 11:45 a.m. November 15, in Sacred Heart hospital, after a three weeks illness.

Born March 27, 1885 in Chicago, Mrs. Gaston had lived in Fort Madison for 60 years. On February 21, 1904 in Chicago, she was married to Beryl Gaston who preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons, Robert E. Gaston, Galesburg, Ill., Herbert L. Gaston, Fort Madison and John W. Gaston, Fort Madison, one brother, John Quaid, Chicago, one sister Miss B.M. Quaid, Chicago, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Mary Donahue Quaid, one son Richard K. Gaston, who died in 1949, one brother and one sister.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Nieters Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Mohr officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
