OBITUARIES.

Grandma Bashor was born in Armstrong county, Penn., Jan. 25th, 1821. Her maiden name was Anna Shoemaker. When six years of age she came to Ohio with her parents and at the age of fourteen her mother died leaving her the care of a family of nine children of which she was the oldest. She was married to David Bashor, Nov. 17, 1846, and came with him to Iowa in 1850. She left Iowa in 1880 to go to Neb. and returned to Iowa again in 1894. She was left a widow in 1899, since which time she made her home with her daughter. She was the mother of ten children, seven of whom died in infancy. Three grew to manhood and womanhood of whom only Mrs. John Gaston survives. She leaves one daughter, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and a host of friends. She gave her heart to Christ when quite young, uniting with the Dunkard church, remaining a faithful member until death, which came March 26, 1906, at the age of 85 years, 2 month and 1 day.
