Obituary.

David Bashor died at his home in Vernon, Aug. 17th, 1899. He was born in Lebanon Co., Penn., Dec. 4th, 1821, and was 78 years, 8 months and 17 days old. He was married to Anna Shoemaker Nov. 17th, 1846, and was blessed with ten children. His wife, one daughter and five grandchildren, survive him. He came to Iowa in 1850, lived here until 1880 when he moved near Beatrice, Neb., where he lived 14 years. In 1894 he moved to Vernon where he has since lived. He was a member of the Dunkard church for upwards of 44 years. The funeral was from the residence at 9 o'clock a.m. the 18th, Rev. Smith preaching, after which the remains were followed by the relatives and sympathizing friends to the Center Chapel cemetery and laid beside his Son John to await the voice of the Son of God that shall awake the sleeping dead. May the Lord comfort the hears of the bereaved.

BASHOR. - In Vernon, Iowa, Aug. 17, 1899, Bro. David Bashor, aged 78 years, 8 months and 13 days. He was a member of the Brethren church for forty-four years. He was united in marriage to Anna Shoemaker, Sept. 17, 1846. To this union were born ten children, nine of whom preceded him. He leaves an aged companion and one daughter.
