Mary Stebbins

Mary, daughter of Sarah Barto and Sidney C. Stebbins, was born May 7, 1863, at Salem, Iowa, and died Feb. 10, 1941, at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 3 days.

She came to Bonaparte with her parents when three years of age and this town has since been her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Stebbins, one brother, Thomas A. Stebbins, of Ft. Madison, and the following sisters, Alice Stebbins Bennett of Blue Mound, Ill., Fannie Stebbins Cantril of West Point, Iowa, and three sisters, who died in infancy at Bonapate.

Surviving are two brothers, Hiram G. Stebbins of Keokuk and Charles S. Stebbins of Bonaparte, and one sister, Miss Margaret Stebbins of Bonaparte. There are also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at ten o'clock at the Baptist church of Bonaparte, Rev. F.M. James officiating. Interment in the Bonaparte cemetery.
