MRS. GERTIE TACKABERRY

Funeral services of Mrs. Gertie Tackaberry were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church, the pastor, Rev. Water???? officiating. Burial in Cantril cemetery.

Mrs. Tackberry died of a heart attack Wednesday morning in the home of her sister, Mrs. Herder Boyer, in Cantril. She had recently returned to Cantril after spending the winter in Chicago with her daughter Mrs. Phil Weston. She had also visited her son, Olan, and family at Ft. Madison before returning home. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago.

Gertrude Gillett, daughter of Joseph and Adelaide Gillett, was born in Clark county, Mo., on July 26, 1880 and grew to womanhood in that vicinity. On Sept. 26, 1897, she was united in marriage with Aaron Burr Tackaberry and to this union three children were born, one daughter Lavonne dying in infancy.

Mr. and Mrs. Tackaberry came to Cantril to make their home soon after their marriage. On Oct. 13, 1???, Mr. Tackaberry passed away, first Mrs. Tackaberry continued to life in the old home with her son and daughter.

Besides her son and daughter above mentioned she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J.O. Sparks and Mrs. Herder Boyer of Cantril.
