Elmer Jesse Winslow, 66, passed away at 3 p. m. Monday. Mr. Winslow, who had been a dealer in horses throughout his life, was one of the best-informed persons on horses in the vicinity, and had been called upon often to judge at the Iowa and Nebraska state fairs. He was a heavy shipper to Eastern markets.
Mr. Winslow was born July 15, 1861 at Salem, the son of Jordan and Sarah Cook Winslow. He was married October 30, 1888 to Anna Brooks of Palmpra, Mo. Surviving him are his wife, a son Russel Winslow of Birmingham, two granddaughters and the following brothers and sisters: Edgar Winslow of Packwood, Mrs. Mary Robinson and Mrs. Lena Hootman of Birmingham, and Mrs. Eva Scott of Des Moines. One son, Hugh, died at the age of five years, and three brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be tomorrow at 2 p. m. in Birmingham. The body is at the Catcott Funeral Home.
