Mrs. Elgar E. Winslow, 67, life-time resident of the Fairfield and Birmingham communities, passed away at her home five miles south of Fairfield about 8 a. m. Sunday morning. She had been seriously ill for the past three weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a. m. Tuesday morning at the Birmingham Presbyterian church with Rev. H. C. Irvine in charge. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Winslow was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Troette, and was born November 22, 1879 in Birmingham. She was united in marriage to Elgar E. Winslow on October 14, 1897, in Fairfield. She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Birmingham.
She is survived by her husband and four daughters: Mrs. Vena Speer, Rock Island;
Mrs. Faye Power, Palisade, Colorado; Mrs. Mildred Ireland, Moline; and Louise Winslow, Fairfield; and three sons, Arthur, Eugene and Ned Winslow, all of Fairfield.Mrs. Winslow is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Lillian Barnes, Olmsted, Illinois; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The body is at the Weston Behner funeral home.
