Pekin, Illinois- Edith J. Fisher, 84, of Toulon Health Care Center died at 2:40 p. m. Friday, Dec. 16, 1994, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. She was formerly of 307 State St.

Funeral service will be at 11 a. m. Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Robert Holler will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Pekin, to which she was a member, or to a charity of a donar's choice.

She was born Feb. 28, 1910, in Keosauqua, Iowa, to John and Louisa Miner Kimmel. She married Ned. H. Fisher Jan. 1, 1928, in Washington, Iowa. He died Nov. 7, 1979.

One grandson, four brothers and one sister, Lucy McGaffey, also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (Margaret) Jones of LaFayette and Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Washburn of Morton; three sons, Robert E. Fisher of Worthington, Ohio, Richard L. Fisher of Aurora and William K. Fisher of Lindale, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Marietta Canaday of Fairfield, Iowa, Helen Leyden of Washington, Ruth McGill of Davenport, Iowa, and Eleanor Stalder of Brighton, Iowa.

Mrs. Fisher was a nurse's aide at Pekin Hospital for 12 years. She then worked at Tazewell County Nursing Home. She later worked at Peoria...... (rest is missing)
