Funeral service for Ned. H. Fisher, 74, of 307 State Street [Pekin, Illinois], will be conducted at 1 p. m. Saturday in the Preston Funeral Home.
Rev. Ronald Van Heukelom, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of First United Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member and of which he had been an elder since 1949.
Mr. Fisher died at 11:20 a. m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 1979, in Methodist Medical Center, after having been ill four and one-half years.
Born at Birmingham, Iowa, Dec 14, 1904, he was a son of William L. and Susannah Rose Hill Fisher. His marriage to Edith J. Kimmel occurred Jan. 1, 1928, at Washington, Iowa.
After the Fishers moved to Pekin, Illinois in 1942, he worked as a pastry baker for the old A. and E. Bakery. He later was employed by the Soldwedel and Borden dairies, and for five years was a custodian in the Pekin elementary school system. He last worked five years as a custodian at St Joseph School, retiring in 1975.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Robert of Columbus, Ohio, Richard of Aurora, and William K. of Lindale, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. James (Margaret) Jones of Lafayette, and Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Washburn of Peoria; 17 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
One grandson and two brothers proceded him in death.
