CEDAR FALLS DEATHS
Harold McLelandFuneral services for Harold Howard McLeland will be at 1:30 p.m. at Nottger Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Ronald D. Jones, pastor, Cedar Falls Assembly of God Church officiating.
Committal services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ashton Cemetery, Ashton, Mo. The casket will remain open until 1:15 p.m. Friday.
Mr. McLeland, 62, of 110 W. 2nd St., (Cedar Falls) died at Allen Memorial Hospital Tuesday evening of coronary occlusion.
He was born Sept. 20, 1908, at Milton, the son of Alma Praeter (Preter) and Frank McLeland. He had been a design engineer for the Schultz Manufacturing Co. for the past 13 years. Mr. McLeland was married to Mildred Clow on Aug. 26, 1933, at Kirksville, Mo.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Harold Gene of Groin, Mo., and William Parks of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. (Karen) Andrew Merrels of Perrysburg, Ohio, Mrs. (Gladys) Charles Heasley of 217 Cutler St., Waterloo, and Mrs. (Kathy) Mike Steine of 107½ Wellington St., Waterloo; three sisters; Mrs. (Frances) Sampson Lunsford and Mrs. (Helen) John Shibley, Jr., of Freeport, Ill., and Mrs. Maxine Swearengen of Lena, Ill., and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.*
He was a member of the Cedar Falls Assembly of God Church.
*He was also preceded in death by his first wife Marjorie Inez Burns McLeland. She died three months after the birth of their son Harold Gene.
