FARMINGTON – Herman W. Miller, 84, Farmington, died at 12:30 a.m., today, at his home following a lengthy illness.

The son of Emanuel J. and Harriet Bauder Miller, he was born in Primrose, Ia, September 7, 1887. He married Mary Mercer, March 7, 1932, in Monmouth, Ill. She survives,

Mr. Miller was a lifelong resident of Farmington. He retired in 1965, as an insurance agent. He also operated the office for Iowa Electric Light and Power Company. He was a member of the Farmington Conggregational church, a 50 year member of the Mt. Moriah Lodge No. 27 AF & AM; and was formerly a member of OES.

He is also survived by one daughter, Mary Margaret Behler, Omaha, Nebr.: one son, Charles E., Moline, Ill.; one step-son, Jack Mercer, Farmington; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildТеп,

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, two brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral service will be 2 op.m., Wednesday, March 22, at the Miller-Hofbauer Fune‘ral home, Farmington. Robert Hambright and Robert Anders will officiate. Interment will be in Greenglade cemetery. Masonic service will be held Tuesday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m., in the funeral home.
