EUGENE CONNELL

Eugene Connell, 88, died Thursday, Dec. 1 at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua after a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 20, 1878 in Milton, the son of Michael and Clara Pennington Connell. He was a member of the Milton Christian Church, Aurora Lodge No. 50 A.F.&A.M.

He is survived by two nieces, Cleo Wandel of Milton and Elizabeth Wandel of Chicago; a nephew, George Wandel of Chicago, and a great nephew, Jack Oneal of Hoffman Estates, Ill.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton, with Harold Bray, pastor of the Christian Church officiating. Burial was in the Sunnyside cemetery.
