Morgan Douglas Michael Elfers, 20, flew into the arms of his loving creator on February 18, 2016. Morgan was born on May 5, 1995, in Cleveland, OH, to Wynona Lambert and Gordon Elfers. He moved to Birmingham, IA, with his parents and brothers, Jake and Luke, in July of 1997. He was a smart, happy, adventurous child who loved exploring the woods, fishing, animals, video games, reading, movies, and of course, music. Music and singing were natural gifts from God and Morgan was an entertainer from a young age. His amazing guitar and piano playing drew attention and Morgan was playing professionally by age 15. Morgan graduated from Van Buren High School in 2013. He was employed by Kokomos in Fairfield and was a member of the Echo Valley Band. Morgan was a popular young man with many friends and family that loved him very much. His smile, music, and caring nature will be greatly missed.

Morgan was preceded in death by his father Gordon Elfers, his paternal grandparents, Dutch and Bess Elfers, and his maternal grandfather, Amburse Lambert. Morgan is survived by his mother Wynona Lambert of Birmingham, IA, brothers, Jake Lambert of Boulder, CO, and Luke Elfers of Keosauqua, IA, a sister, Stacey Elfers, and a nephew, Jack Johnson, both of North Olmsted, OH, his maternal grandmother, Frances Lambert of Widen, WV, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Best Western in Fairfield. IA. Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating.
