Dennis Richard Diehl, age 70, of Keosauqua, died Sunday, April 24 at Center Village of Tenco in Keosauqua.

Dennis was born July 23, 1945, in Fairfield to Richard Carl and Viola Louise Hawk Diehl.

He was a graduate of Fairfield High School in 1964. He was in the Army Reserves and his basic training was done in Kentucky.

He lived at Center Village of Tenco for the last several years. He enjoyed listening to 60s music, talking politics and going for walks.

Dean was preceded in death by his father on December 28, 2005.

Surviving family members include his mother of Fairfield; two sisters: Vivian Diehl of Fairfield and Jeannette Diehl of West Burlington; two brothers: Melvin Diehl and his wife Judy of Fairfield, Ron Diehl and his wife Mirsada of Des Moines; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held April 27 at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with Danny Cary officiating.

Raymond Funeral Home is assisted the family with arrangements.
