Obituary of Mrs. Roscoe E. Strait

Esther Reneker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Reneker, was born near Douds, Iowa, Dec. 31, 1895 and died the morning of Nov. 1, 1920, aged 24 years and 10 months. March 14, 1917, she was united in marriage with Roscoe E. Strait. To this union were born three children, Keith La Mont of two years and twin girls born Oct. 28, 1920, one of which passed away at birth. Esther was converted at Douds in 1914 and has ever shown the true Christian spirit, being a most devoted wife and mother. She was of such a sweet, patient disposition and although never physically strong she never showed impatience, even in her last illness. Besides her husband and two children she leaves to mourn their loss, her father, (her mother having passed to the great beyond five years ago), one sister, Daisy, four brothers, Glen, Raymond, Paul and Joshua, Jr., besides other relatives and a host of friends.
