Mary Regur, Long Invalid, Succumbs

Keosauqua Woman, 57, Survived by Husband, 3 Sons, Mother and Sister.

Mrs. Joe N. Regur died at her home in Keosauqua at noon Sunday after a long illness. She was 57 years old and had lived in Keosauqua all her life.

Mrs. Regur devoted her life to bringing happiness to all her associates. Even during her long illness and while confined to a wheel chair she radiated sunshine. With hands sadly drawn by arthritis she wrote comforting letters to those who were ill.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Don of Chicago and Dan and Gene of Keosauqua; her mother, Mrs. Lucy Disbrow of Keosauqua and a sister, Mrs. Robert Sloan of Burlington.

Funeral services were conducted at the Burnett funeral home in Keosauqua at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon by the Rev. C.H. Orf, assisted by the Rev. George McMican. Burial was at Purdom Cemetery.
