MRS. JULIA TAYLOR.

Julia Ann Burrow, daughter of Wm. and Jane Burrow, was born in Green county, Indiana, Nov. 24th, 1838, and died at Mt. Zion, Iowa, April 5th, 1911, aged 72 years, 4 months and 11 days. She was married to Samuel J. Taylor near Utica, Iowa, Feb. 28th, 1856, this union covering a period of 55 years. To them were born ten children: Kate, wife of George Gilbert; Laura, wife of David Ramsey; John P., Wm. S., May, wife of C.W. Gilbert; Maggie, wife of H.B. Sherod; Charles B. and George Taylor, two dying in infancy, Flora and Minnie. Mrs. Taylor leaves a husband past eighty, eight children, twenty-two grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three sisters (one being her twin sister) and three brothers. She was a member of the M.C. church at Kilbourne for many years. She was a regular attendantat(err) at services, when possible, but on account of impaired health, of late years, she was denied this privilege she so much enjoyed. Mrs. Taylor was a kind, affectionate mother, a loving wife and a neighbor with whom it was a pleasure to associate. During her life she was a conscientious, uncomplaining worker, retaining her strength remarkably well, neat and painstaking in all her duties and greatly interested in the family welfare. Her late illness was of but two days duration, and the result was unexpected and came as a great shock to the family and her many friends by whom she was greatly loved and respected. She passed peacefully through the shadows into the larger life beyond, where she waits to welcome loved ones to that "Heavenly home, the home not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." Funeral services were held in the M.E. church at Kilbourne, Friday, April 7th, at 2 o'clock p.m., by Rev. Ellis. She was laid to rest at the side of her kindred to await the resurrection morn.
