KILBOURNE

WILLIAM S. TAYLOR

The sad news reaching here June 5 told of the demise of William S. Taylor at Des Moines. Will, as he was familiarly known, was born and raised to manhood here where he has many relatives and friends who will never forget his kindly ways and pleasant smile. His father's family lived at Mt. Zion many years.

He will be remembeerd(sp) by many as conductor on the Keosauqua branch railroad, before his removal to Valley Junction.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John, his sisters Kate, Laura and Minnie, also his wife Minnie Taylor.

He is survived by his son, Harry, and wife of Des Moines, his sisters, Mrs. C.W. Gilbert and Mrs. Maggie Sherod; brothers, Charles of Sioux City, George, of near here, and many nieces and nephews. He would have been 81 years old had he lived until Oct. 6, 1946.

Those from here who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murphy, Mrs. Maggie Sherod, George Taylor, Bess Stutsman, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Hanshaw, and perhaps others.
