Death of George Redd

A few days ago B.J. Stong of Keosauqua and Peck Stong of Kilbourne received word that George Redd had died at his home in Denver, Colorado, Nov. 30, 1916, while undergoing a surgical operation. He was taken suddenly sick just after returning from a business trip to California. Mr. Redd ws born in this county and grew to manhood years here. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Redd, their home being on a farm in Des Moines township between Keosauqua and Cantril. George's age was about 65 when death called him. He was one of the prominent and highly respected citizens of Denver. His wife and the following children survive: Ada, married and in Des Moines; Gertrude, married and in Wheeling, West Virginia; Samuel and Cornelia, at home in Denver. The burial was at Denver.
