James Leslie McIntosh was born in Van Buren County, Iowa, Nov. 7, 1890, and passed away at the Davis county hospital in Bloomfield, March 17, 1961. He was the son of Charles P. and Clara Wolf McIntosh.

On Dec. 14, 1913, he was united in marriage to Ella Rugh, who preceded him in death Nov. 25, 1956. Three daughters were born to this union: Mrs. Joe (Lavon) Keller, and Mrs. Arthur (Clara) Hyde, Jr. of Memphis, Mo., and Mrs. Robert (Irene) Jamison of Lawton, Oklahoma.

Mr. McIntosh was a member of the Memphis Christian church and the Cantril Masonic Lodge.
Besides his three daughters, he is survived by six grandchildren; three sons-in-law; one niece; six nephews; one cousin, Dan McIntosh of Milton; many other relatives and friends.

Besides his companion, he was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Iva.
Mr. and Mrs. McIntosh lived in the Cantril community until they moved to the Memphis community several years ago.

Memorial services were held at the Cantril Christian church March 19 at 2 p.m. Herbert C. Shaw, minister, officiated. The vocalists were Mrs. Jim Charbonneau and Mrs. Maynard Manske, accompanied by Mrs. S.E. Wellborn. Masonic rites were held at Maple Grove cemetery.
