Ross Lane De Ford

Ross Lane, only son of Edwin and Ora DeFord, was born Oct. 16, 1899, and departed this life on Feb. 3, 1920, being aged 20 years, 3 months and 18 days. Ross was an exceptionally bright boy and was a favorite among his playmates at school. He was of a bright, home-loving, and cheerful disposition and always made friends wherever he went. At the age of 16 he was compelled to give up his schooling, but always studied and improved his mind at home and always took an unusual interest in the operation and management of the farm for one of his age. He was obedient and thoughtful of his father and mother and kind unto all. On Jan. 25 he was taken sick and was a patient sufferer to the end. Altho not a member of any church he believed in Jesus, the Christ, as his Savior. He leaves to mourn their loss his father and mother and two sisters, a grandfather and two grandmothers, besides other relatives and many friends.
