Thelma Agnes De Ford
At about 11 o’clock Saturday night, February 7, 1920, the Death Angel entered the home of Edwin DeFord a second time within a week and took their oldest daughter, Thelma Agnes. She was born Nov. 11, 1901, being aged at the time of her death 18 years, 2 months and 27 days. Thelma never knew what it was to enjoy good health, her short life being one of pain and suffering, but she always bore it uncomplainingly with a gentle, sweet patience. Her sweet and gentle disposition will always be a living sermon for good to those who knew her. On Jan. 27 she was taken sick with the flu, from which it seemed at first she would recover, but pneumonia set in and although all was done that loving hands could do, it was too much for her delicate constitution. She leaves to mourn their loss her father and mother and little sister Doris, her grandparents and other relatives and friends.
The interment of both bodies was in the Cantril cemetery, short funeral services beheld at the graves, conducted by Rev. Felt, Methodist pastor at Cantril.
