Judith Kay Johnson, 59, of Fort Madison, died at 4:39 a.m. Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born May 24, 1947, in Keokuk, she was the daughter of Joseph and Verna Therme Johnson. On March 8, 2003, she married Walter H. Johnson in Fort Madison.

She was a former cosmetologist and worked at Breck Hair Products. She worked for 20 years at Exide in Burlington. Her most recent employment was with IAAP in Middletown. She was affiliated with the Community of Christ Church.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Johnson of Fort Madison; 1 son, Kevin C. Holland of Fort Madison and 1 daughter, Julie R. Gerveler of Fallon, Nev., 2 step children, David & Amy; eight grandchildren; one great–grandson; her mother of Farmington; two sisters, Sharon Losey of Farmington and Phyllis Carle of Fort Madison; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and one granddaughter.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at King–Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, with family meeting with friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at King–Lynk Funeral Home with the Rev. Joyce Shireman officiating. Her body will be cremated with inurnment in Greenglade Cemetery in Farmington at a later date.
