Charles W. Scott, of the firm of Lapsley & Scott, Farmington, died of acute kidney disease Sunday and was buried Tuesday. Deceased was born at Farmington, July 13, 1869, being 33 years of age. He was beloved by all who knew him. He was one of the noblest and most manly and gentlemanly young men we ever knew. He had been one of the officers of his town for many years. Last year he was the democratic candidate for county treasurer. His funeral Tuesday was attended by 1,500 people, a number being present from here. It was conducted by the Improved Order of Red Men and was very impressive. One the features was the releasing a dove, which fluttered above the casket.
