KEOSAUQUA. - Albert Eugene Star, 82, died at 6:30 a.m. today at his home in Keosauqua, following a lengthy illness. He was a retired painter and decorator.

The son of Jacob and Mary (Faris) Starr, he was born August ??, 1872, at Wilmington, Ohio. He moved near Keosauqua with his family when he was 12 years old. His marriage to Alpha Oatman took place November, 15, 1908. She survives. He was a member of the Christian church at Keosauqua.

Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Paul Starr of Winfield; two daughters, Pearl Starr of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. O.K. Stokesberry of Englewood, Colo.; a granddaughter, Doreen Dorson of Dallas, Tex., whom he and Mrs. Starr reared; three other grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, James Starr of Fairfield and Neal Starr of Detroit, and three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Brewster of Fairfield, Mrs. Jewel Shepherd of Great Falls, Mont., and Mrs. Bert Roberts of Eldon. Two brothers preceded him in death.

The body is at the Burnett-Catcott funeral home in Keosauqua.
