STOCKPORT - Thomas N. Giberson, 64, native of the Stockport Community, died of gunshot wounds around 2 p.m. Friday, Van Buren County authorities said the wounds were self-inflicted.
His body was found on a cot in the Giberson home located about 4 1/2 miles northeast of Stockport. The body was found by two brothers when they returned from town.
The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield where last rites will be held Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.
Thomas N. Giberson was born Sept. 18, 1909, near Stockport. He was the son of James W. and Ethel L. Lazenby Giberson. He was a farmer and spent his entire life in the Stockport Community.
Survivors include three brothers: George, Warren and Bernie, all of Stockport; and a sister, Mrs. Wilbur Snead, Keosauqua. Giberson was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
