Mrs. Frances Baker Dies in Polk City

Former Keosauquan, 82, Is Survived by 3 Daughters and Brother; Burial in Des Moines

**Handwritten: Dec. 11, 1940

Miss Bess Overman attended the funeral of her aunt, Mrs. Frances Overman Baker, at Polk City Friday. Burial was at Glendale cemetery at Des Moines.

Mrs. Baker was born in Illinois March 30, 1858. She came to Keosauqua with her parents in 1876 and was married to Charles Baker in 1878. Mr. Baker died in 1920.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Cora Harris of Miami, Fla., Helen Baker of Polk City and Mrs. Virginia Endersby of Hillsboro, and a brother, James M. Overman of Keosauqua.
