Mrs. Kate Anson.

KEOSAUQUA. - Mrs. Catherine (Kate) Anson, 83, died about 6 a.m. today in the Hainline nursing home at Bonaparte. She had been ill of pneumonia.

In September she had fractured a hip in a fall.

She was born April 17, 1873, at Cincinnati, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Agnes Batchelor Simmons. She came with her parents to Vernon prairie near here when a baby. She was married March 24, 11893, to Orin A. Anson and for 58 years they lived on a farm southeast of Keosauqua. Mr. Anson died January 1, 1951. She then moved to Keosauqua.

Surviving are two sons, Alva W. and Charlie R. Anson of Keosauqua. A brother Earl Simmons preceded her in death.

The body is at the Burnett-Catcott funeral home.
