NELLIE ASHBY.

Nellie Adeline McIntosh, daughter of C.F. and Sarah J. McIntosh, of Keosauqua, was born at Pittsburg, May 2, 1889. In September, 1907, she was married to Marion Ashby, then of Stockport. They moved to Ottumwa where they continued to make their home and where she died at 4 o'clock, Friday morning, October 30, 1908, of typhoid fever. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband, a little daughter aged about 4 1/2 months, father and mother, 5 brothers and 5 sisters, besides a number of more distant relatives and friends. The body was brought here Saturday morning, and the funeral, in charge of Rev. Thorn, was at the home of her parents, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Purdom cemetery. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of their many friends.
