Mrs. Amanda Peacock
Amanda Ellen Cartnal was born in Clark county, Mo., Jan. 10, 1872 and died Jan. 7, 1936 at the age of 61 years. She was married to George Peacock Jan. 1, 1899 and to this union were born four children, John, of Hot Springs, Ark.; Earl, of Glenwood, Iowa; Mrs. Myrtle Ray, of Keosauqua, and Oscar at home.
Besides her husband and children she leaves 5 brothers, Scott, Walter, George and Ralph, of Anson, Mo.; and Wm., of Fort Madison; also a grandchild and a number of other relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Peacock moved from Anson, Mo., to Farmington 18 years ago where they lived until her death.
Mrs. Peacock was taken ill 5 years ago with paralysis and has been bedfast most of the time. She suffered much but her husband faithfully cared for her and did all that loving hands could do in ministering to her needs.
In her girlhood days she was a member of the Methodist church but since coming to Farmington she attended the church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services were conducted at the funeral parlors by Rev. Georgia Walraven, pastor of the church of the Nazarene. Interment was in the Troxall cemetery near Anson, Mo.
