FAIRFIELD. - Mrs. Frank L. Baker, 51, former Fairfield resident, died in a hospital at Galesburg, Ill., at 11 a.m. Tuesday following a lingering illness.

She was born September 28, 1905, in Van Buren county, the daughter of William H. and Dema Wiley Gire. She was married March 11, 1924. After the marriage, the Bakers moved to Chicago where they lived until three years ago.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three sisters, Mrs. Forrest Leathers of Fairfield, Mrs. Willa Hillery and Mrs. Helen White, both of Galesburg; and two brothers, Stanley Gire of
Douds and Emery Gire of Fairfield.

The body will be brought to the Behner funeral home here Thursday evening where the funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Roy Honeywell, D.D., pastor of the Methodist church at Galesburg, will be in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
