Ernest Beard
Ernest Beard was born on a farm near Revere, Mo., Jan. 16, 1872, and passed away at his home near Farmington, March 20, 1935, after two hours illness.
When he was only five years old his father passed away and until he was thirteen years old, he made his home with his uncle, Samuel Beard of Revere, Mo. He was preceded in death by his mother and twin sister.
He was united in marriage with Mary Cross, daughter of Dr. Cross, of Farmington. He loved the farm and has always been a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, three sisters, Mrs. Van Johnson and Mrs. C.S. Johnson, of Revere, Mo., and Mrs. Tom Painter of Delmont, Colo., and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was a believer, but not a member of any church.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Farmington, conducted by Mrs. J.V. Wright. Interment was in the Farmington cemetery.
